Flag Quiz Questions and Answers, Easy to Hard

A flag quiz works in almost any room. Kids often know more flags than adults expect, and nobody needs to prepare anything. Here are 24 flag questions with answers: six easy ones to warm up, six harder ones, six on flags with a lion, a dragon, a sun or a tree, and six odd facts for the final round. The first twelve are the Flags of the World quiz in the Sheelon library, so you can try them in the browser or host them live.

Every question is multiple choice or true-or-false, with the correct answer marked, so you can read them out, print them for a class, or skip the prep and host the live version. In a live game a one-line explanation appears after each question, which is where most of the learning happens.

Tips for a flag quiz that works

  • Start easy. A round everyone gets right warms up the room. Save the lion and the dragon for when people are paying attention.
  • Play in teams for younger kids. Two or three players per device means the child who knows flags explains them to the others.
  • Leave time after each answer. The explanation is the moment someone says "I always thought that was Indonesia" about Monaco's flag, and the class remembers it.
  • Add your own flags. Open any quiz in the library and choose Edit a copy, then add the flags of your students' home countries or of the World Cup teams.

Is this flag quiz free?

Yes. The flags quizzes are free to play in the browser and free to host live. Players never need an account, only the PIN.

Is it suitable for kids?

The easy round suits primary school. The hard round and the flag facts suit older kids and adults. You can start with the easy six and stop there.

How many people can play?

Up to 50 players per game on the free plan, and up to 150 on Pro.

Can I make a flag quiz on one continent?

Yes. Type a topic like "flags of Africa" or "flags of Europe" and Sheelon's AI writes the questions, then you edit and host them. The free plan includes 5 AI quizzes in total.
