Every question is multiple choice with the correct answer marked. Names stay as players know them in their own language: Pikachu is Pikachu everywhere, and the starters carry their local names, so nothing here depends on how an English name is spelled.

Types are the rulebook under every battle, and the core matchups have held since the first games. These six stay with the long-settled ones, from the easy Water and Electric pair to the Ice versus Dragon one that catches even confident trainers.

Original 151 and Kanto questions
The first region is where almost everyone's Pokémon story starts, and where the questions are most settled: a fixed list of the first Pokémon, a row of Gyms and the roads between the towns. Place names change from one language to the next, but the towns and Gym Leaders keep their roles.

Pokémon games, anime and history questions
How the whole thing began: a pair of Game Boy games in Japan, a talking cat from Team Rocket, a card game and a phone game that sent people outside. These are origin facts, so they do not change with a new release.

Which console were the first Pokémon games made for?
Which Pokémon did Ash get from Professor Oak as his first partner in the anime?

Tips for running a Pokémon quiz
- Start with Pikachu-level questions. The first round should let every child score, then raise the difficulty.
- Use teams for mixed ages. Pair a younger child with an older one so the type questions become a conversation.
- Keep the timer generous. Twenty seconds is plenty. A speed round rewards the fastest reader, not the biggest fan.
- Let the room argue. A Pokémon fan is always sure the answer is wrong. The explanation after each question settles it.
- Skip the collector's questions. Card prices and rare-card rankings change and start fights, so none of the questions above touch them.
Why these questions stay right
New Pokémon games come out all the time, so we avoided anything a release can change: no total number of Pokémon, no newest region, no competitive rankings and no card values. The type matchups used here, the original 151, the Kanto story and the launch years are fixed history, and the facts were checked against the games and community wikis such as Bulbapedia.
