Terms of Service

By accessing or using Sheelon ("the Service"), operated at sheelon.me, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

If you are using Sheelon on behalf of a school, district, or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Sheelon is an interactive learning platform that enables educators to create quizzes, host live game sessions, assign asynchronous challenges, and analyze student performance. Players can join games using a Game PIN without creating an account.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You may not share your account with others or allow others to access it
• You must be at least 18 years old to create a teacher account, or have authorization from your school or organization

You agree not to use Sheelon to:

• Create or distribute content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose not authorized by these Terms
• Submit answers or manipulate scores using automated tools or scripts

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all quizzes, questions, and other content you create on Sheelon ("Your Content"). By uploading content to the platform, you grant Sheelon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display Your Content as necessary to provide the Service.

Published Content

If you choose to publish a quiz to the Community Library, you grant other Sheelon users the right to view, duplicate, and adapt that quiz for educational use. You may unpublish your quiz from the library at any time, but copies already made by other users will remain in their accounts.

Sheelon Content

All Sheelon branding, design, code, and platform features are the property of Sheelon. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform itself.

Sheelon offers free and paid subscription tiers. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Key terms:

• Free accounts have usage limits (50 players per game, MCQ and True/False only)
• Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact us for requests
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

We strive to keep Sheelon available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We make no service level agreement (SLA) guarantees for free or Pro tier accounts.

School and Enterprise customers may negotiate specific SLA terms as part of their agreements.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Sheelon is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
• We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sheelon, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason with notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, indemnity, and liability limitations) will remain in effect.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
